The post office agency cancellers (POA) make a fascinating study of the post offices agency they were issued to. The POA cancellers were at first issued in 1890 and was in use until 1910. It is difficult to allocate POA cancellers as the same number was issued to several different places. The only sure way of establishing the origin of a POA canceller depends on evidence of an entire which shows the canceller in the correct posiyion cancelling the stamp, but also has a reference in the text.
